In the company’s own words
Renasant Corporation (NYSE: RNST) operates as a bank holding company providing comprehensive financial services throughout the Southeast through its principal subsidiary, Renasant Bank, a Mississippi-chartered member of the Federal Reserve System. The company's website is www.renasant.com.
The company operates two primary reportable segments: Community Banks and Wealth Management. The Community Banks segment, which generates the substantial majority of revenues, offers a complete range of banking and financial services including business and personal loans, construction financing, treasury management services, deposit products, and mortgage origination and servicing. As of December 31, 2025, the company operated 277 banking, lending, and mortgage offices throughout its Southeast markets, while its subsidiary Republic Business Credit maintained four stand-alone offices in California, Illinois, Louisiana, and Texas to support nationwide factoring and asset-based lending operations. The Wealth Management segment, contributing approximately 2.4 percent of total gross revenues, operates through two divisions: a Trust division offering fiduciary and custodial services for retirement plans and personal trusts, and a Financial Services division providing annuities, mutual funds, and brokerage services through Park Place Capital.
Lending activities represent the core business, accounting for approximately 81.1 percent of total gross revenues in 2025. The loan portfolio comprises commercial and industrial loans, construction and land development loans, residential real estate mortgages, commercial real estate loans for both owner-occupied and non-owner-occupied properties, and consumer loans. Investment securities and deposit service fees contribute approximately 7.1 percent and 4.6 percent of revenues, respectively.
In April 2025, Renasant completed its acquisition of The First Bancshares, Inc., significantly expanding its market presence and asset base. The company previously divested its insurance operations through the sale of Renasant Insurance, Inc. in July 2024 and Southwest Georgia Insurance Services, Inc. in December 2025.
The company employs a franchise model that decentralizes lending and business development decisions to community bank presidents while centralizing support functions including legal, accounting, investment management, risk management, and data processing to achieve operational efficiency and consistent quality standards.
