Rithm Capital Corp. (NYSE: RITM) is a global asset manager and financial services company focused on real estate, credit and financial services. The company operates as a real estate investment trust for U.S. federal income tax purposes and maintains an internally managed structure as of June 2022. Rithm Capital maintains a global presence with headquarters in New York City and additional offices in London, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Toronto and Abu Dhabi.
The company conducts its business through four primary segments: Origination and Servicing, Residential Transitional Lending, Asset Management and Investment Portfolio. The Origination and Servicing segment operates residential mortgage origination and servicing platforms through wholly owned subsidiaries Newrez and New Residential Mortgage LLC, with Newrez ranking among the top five U.S. lenders and servicers by volume. This segment generates revenue from mortgage origination, servicing fees, mortgage-backed securities investments and related ancillary services including title, appraisal and property preservation through subsidiaries Guardian Asset Management, eStreet Appraisal Management and Avenue 365 Lender Services.
The Residential Transitional Lending segment provides short-term business purpose mortgage loans through Genesis Capital LLC for construction, renovation, bridge financing and related transitional use cases secured by residential real estate. The Asset Management segment, operating primarily through Rithm Asset Management LLC and its subsidiaries including Sculptor Capital Management and Crestline Management, manages approximately $63 billion in assets under management across alternative investment strategies including private credit, opportunistic credit, fund liquidity solutions and real estate strategies. Following the December 2025 acquisition of Paramount Group, the company also owns and operates Class A office properties in New York City and San Francisco.
The Investment Portfolio segment consists of balance sheet investments in residential mortgage loans, single-family rental properties, consumer loans, non-Agency securities, excess mortgage servicing rights, servicer advance investments, commercial real estate and collateralized loan obligations. The company's integrated platform combines operating companies, investment portfolios and asset management capabilities to identify, acquire and enhance the value of real estate-related and financial assets.
