What Seer, Inc. does

In the company’s own words

Seer, Inc. (Nasdaq: SEER) operates as a life sciences company focused on enabling deep, unbiased proteomics research through its proprietary Proteograph Product Suite. The company's website is located at www.seer.bio. Founded with a mission to decode the biology of the proteome to improve human health, Seer has developed a comprehensive platform that addresses a fundamental limitation in proteomics research: the historical trade-off between depth of analysis and throughput capability.

The Proteograph Product Suite represents an integrated solution comprising proprietary engineered nanoparticle consumables, automation instrumentation, and cloud-based data analysis software. The platform enables researchers to conduct unbiased, large-scale proteomics studies by capturing and analyzing thousands of distinct proteins and hundreds of thousands of peptides from biological samples such as plasma, serum, and other biofluids. The company's latest generation products, the Proteograph ONE assay and SP200 automation instrument launched in May 2025, deliver approximately ten-fold improvement in throughput compared to first-generation offerings, enabling processing of more than 1,000 samples weekly.

Seer's technology generates substantially more data per sample than competing proteomics platforms, producing over 77,000 data measurements per sample with multiple peptide-level measurements per protein. This capability provides peptide-level resolution that reveals protein variants and post-translational modifications not captured by traditional affinity-based methods. The company serves more than 190 customers across over 20 countries, including leading academic institutions, biopharmaceutical companies, biobanks, and clinical research organizations.

The platform supports diverse applications spanning discovery proteomics, translational and biomarker discovery research, diagnostic development, and therapeutic target identification. The company competes in the approximately 30 billion dollar proteomics market. Seer's differentiation stems from its proprietary nanoparticle technology, which enables unbiased protein sampling without predefined binding epitopes, combined with the scalability and reproducibility of its integrated workflow. The company's growth strategy focuses on expanding its installed base, driving higher utilization among existing customers, establishing leadership in AI-driven biological discovery, and enabling population-scale proteomic studies.
