The company operates through three reportable segments: Automotive, which represents 57.0% of net revenue; Industrials, representing 21.3% of net revenue; and Aerospace, Defense, and Commercial Equipment, representing 21.7% of net revenue. Sensata serves a diverse customer base including leading global automotive original equipment manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, industrial and commercial manufacturers, aerospace and defense contractors, and agricultural and construction equipment producers. The company maintains relationships with its top ten customers averaging 36 years, though no single customer exceeded 10% of net revenue in recent years. The company holds 282 U.S. patents and 636 non-U.S. patents with expiration dates extending through 2045. The company maintains a perpetual, royalty-free cross-license agreement with Texas Instruments for specified technology.
