The company serves three primary market segments: healthcare, government, and large enterprise, with particular emphasis on the healthcare sector. Spok's business comprises two main revenue streams. Wireless products and related services represented 52 percent of total consolidated revenue and include one-way and two-way messaging services, device sales, and ancillary offerings such as voicemail and equipment protection. The company operates local, regional, and nationwide networks utilizing 900 MHz narrowband frequencies licensed by the Federal Communications Commission.
