What SURF AIR MOBILITY INC. does

In the company’s own words

Surf Air Mobility Inc. (NYSE: SRFM) operates as a regional air mobility platform transforming regional flying through scheduled commercial air service and an expanding on-demand charter marketplace. The company's website is www.surfair.com.

The company operates one of the largest commuter airlines in the United States by scheduled departures, serving over 300,000 passengers annually with approximately 62,000 scheduled departures. Surf Air Mobility's operations comprise two primary business segments: Air Mobility and Air Technology. The Air Mobility business provides scheduled service and on-demand charter marketplace access to passengers throughout the United States and globally. The Air Technology business focuses on developing proprietary aviation software, aircraft electrification powertrain technology, and services to enable electrification across the regional air mobility sector.

Surf Air Mobility became the ultimate parent of Surf Air Global Limited and Southern Airways Corporation following its public listing on the NYSE in July 2023. Southern Airways, founded in 2013, operates as one of the largest commuter airlines in the United States and the largest passenger operator of Cessna Grand Caravan aircraft by scheduled departures. Southern maintains multi-year contracts with the U.S. federal government to operate Essential Air Service routes connecting underserved communities with larger airline hubs.

The company operates a combined fleet of 41 aircraft, primarily consisting of 39 Cessna Caravans. Revenue derives from scheduled air service sold on a per-seat basis and through membership subscriptions, Essential Air Service revenue awards from the Department of Transportation, and on-demand charter operations. The company generated on-demand revenue of $29.6 million during 2025.

Surf Air Mobility maintains relationships with over 400 regional air operators providing on-demand charter services and holds interline agreements with major carriers including United, American, Alaska, Hawaiian, and Japan Airlines. The company is developing SurfOS, an artificial intelligence-enhanced software operating system created in collaboration with Palantir Technologies, designed to streamline operations and eventually be offered to third-party operators and charter brokers.

As of December 31, 2025, the company employed 573 individuals, comprising 467 full-time and 106 part-time employees. The company operates headquarters in Hawthorne, California and an air operations center in Addison, Texas.
