Broadstreet Bank's primary business involves accepting deposits from the general public and deploying those funds through lending and investment activities. The bank's loan portfolio is diversified across multiple categories, with one-to-four family residential real estate loans comprising the largest segment at 45.8 percent of total loans, followed by commercial real estate loans at 20.1 percent, construction and land loans at 15.8 percent, and farmland loans at 5.6 percent. The bank also originates commercial loans, municipal loans, and consumer loans to a lesser extent. The majority of the loan portfolio consists of fixed-rate loans, though the bank has shifted commercial lending toward adjustable rates or maximum fixed-rate terms of five years to manage interest rate risk.
The company operates through a main office in Mineola and six branch locations across Franklin, Hopkins, Smith, Van Zandt, and Wood counties in East Texas. This primary market area benefits from proximity to Dallas and Tyler, population growth driven by remote work trends, and a diversified employment base spanning healthcare, retail, manufacturing, and agriculture sectors.
