TransAct's product portfolio spans multiple market verticals. In the food service technology market, the company offers its BOHA! product suite, which combines terminals or workstations equipped with thermal printers alongside cloud-based software-as-a-service applications accessed through mobile devices. These solutions help restaurants, convenience stores, and food service operators automate back-of-house operations including food rotation labeling, temperature monitoring, and task management. In point of sale automation, TransAct sells the Ithaca 9000 printer, primarily used by McDonald's and other quick-service restaurants. The casino and gaming segment includes thermal printers for slot machines, video lottery terminals, and sports betting kiosks that print tickets and receipts, along with the EPICENTRAL Print System software for promotional coupon creation and management. The company also operates TransAct Services Group, which provides replacement parts, maintenance services, extended warranties, and technical support to its installed customer base.
TransAct maintains primary operations in Ithaca, New York, where its hardware research and development and U.S. service center are located. The company also operates a casino and gaming sales headquarters and software research and development center in Las Vegas, Nevada, a European sales and service center in the United Kingdom, and a sales office in Macau, China. As of December 31, 2025, the company employed 103 full-time employees. The company manufactures most products through a third-party contract manufacturer in Thailand, with a small portion assembled in-house on a configure-to-order basis.
TransAct owns or has rights to trademarks including BOHA!, AccuDate, Epic, EPICENTRAL, and Ithaca. In August 2025, the company acquired a perpetual, royalty-free license to the BOHA! source code from Avery Dennison, enhancing its control over this critical software platform. The company distributes its products across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, and the Caribbean Islands through original equipment manufacturers, value-added resellers, distributors, and direct sales channels.
