UFP Industries designs, manufactures, and supplies products made from wood, wood and non-wood composites, and other materials to three primary business segments: Retail Solutions, Packaging, and Construction. The company also operates International packaging operations and a captive insurance subsidiary.

The Retail Solutions segment comprises ProWood, Deckorators, and UFP Edge business units, serving big box retailers, independent distributors, and distribution centers. ProWood manufactures pressure-treated lumber, decking, fencing, and lawn and garden products, representing approximately 28 percent of residential treated wood production nationally. Deckorators produces wood plastic composite and mineral-based composite decking with railing systems, while UFP Edge manufactures exterior siding, trim, and fascia products.

The Packaging segment includes Structural Packaging, PalletOne, and Protective Packaging Solutions. Structural Packaging designs custom packaging products using mixed materials, while PalletOne manufactures wood pallets and operates recycling operations, representing approximately 8 to 10 percent of new machine-built pallets nationally. Protective Packaging Solutions offers corrugate, foam, labels, strapping, and films.

The Construction segment encompasses Factory-Built Housing, Site-Built Construction, Commercial Construction, and Concrete Forming. Factory-Built Housing produces roof trusses and dimensional lumber for manufactured housing, representing approximately 35 percent of roof trusses used in factory-built housing. Site-Built Construction manufactures roof and floor trusses, wall panels, and engineered wood components for residential and light commercial projects. Commercial Construction operates through idX Holdings, providing customized interior fixtures and architectural millwork. Concrete Forming designs and manufactures wood forms for concrete applications.

UFP Industries is the largest converter of solid sawn softwood lumber from North American primary producers, purchasing approximately 6.4 percent of North American softwood lumber production. The company maintains significant purchasing relationships with lumber mills and operates UFP Purchasing, UFP Transportation, and UFP Real Estate divisions serving all operating segments. The company's diversified end-market approach and vertical integration provide competitive advantages in managing lumber price volatility and serving customers across retail, construction, and packaging sectors.
