The company extracts high-quality limestone from open-pit quarries and underground mines, processing it into multiple product categories including crushed limestone, pulverized limestone (PLS), quicklime, hydrated lime, and lime slurry. These products serve construction markets including highway and building contractors, industrial customers such as paper and glass manufacturers, environmental applications including municipal water treatment and flue gas treatment, metals producers including steel manufacturers, roof shingle producers, agricultural customers, and oil and gas services companies.
United States Lime & Minerals operates through wholly owned subsidiaries managing eight mining properties across Arkansas, Colorado, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas. The company maintains five lime production plants, six lime slurry facilities, and three terminal facilities. The Texas Lime facility operates two preheater rotary kilns with approximately 500 thousand tons annual quicklime capacity, while the Arkansas Lime plant operates three kilns with 650 thousand ton capacity. Additional production occurs at St. Clair, Carthage, Mill Creek, and Colorado Lime facilities.
