The company develops, markets, and underwrites insurance products predominantly in the personal residential homeowners lines of business, serving consumers across a multi-state footprint with particular concentration in Florida, which represented 72.6 percent of direct premiums written during 2025. UVE operates in nineteen states including Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia, and Wisconsin, with an additional license in Tennessee.

UVE's distribution strategy combines an appointed independent agent network of approximately 9,500 licensed agents with direct-to-consumer online channels, including its wholly-owned digital insurance agency, Clovered.com, which partners with 39 carrier partners. The company's insurance products include homeowners, renters, condo unit owners, dwelling fire, and allied lines coverage with additional options for personal property, liability, and personal articles protection.

The company maintains a vertically integrated operational structure with 929 full-time employees as of December 31, 2025, of whom 89 percent are based in Florida. Approximately 54 percent of employees work in claims management operations, with 30 percent comprising the in-house claims litigation team. UVE's subsidiary operations include Evolution Risk Advisors serving as managing general agent, Alder Adjusting managing claims processing, and Blue Atlantic Reinsurance Corporation handling reinsurance placement and management.
