What V F CORP does

In the company’s own words

V.F. Corporation (NYSE: VF) operates as a diversified portfolio of leading outdoor and active lifestyle brands headquartered at www.vfc.com. Founded in 1899, the company designs, manufactures, and distributes innovative apparel, footwear, equipment, and accessories across multiple consumer segments and geographic markets.

VF's primary brands include The North Face, Vans, and Timberland, complemented by complementary labels such as Kipling, Eastpak, JanSport, Altra, Smartwool, Napapijri, and Icebreaker. The company organizes its business into two reportable segments: Outdoor, featuring The North Face and Timberland brands focused on performance and weather-ready products, and Active, anchored by Vans and including lifestyle and travel-focused brands. Additional brands not meeting quantitative thresholds are grouped in an "All Other" category.

VF operates through a diversified business model spanning wholesale and direct-to-consumer channels. Direct-to-consumer operations, representing 44 percent of total revenues, include 1,080 company-operated retail stores globally, e-commerce platforms accounting for approximately 41 percent of direct-to-consumer business, and 868 concession retail locations. The wholesale channel distributes products through specialty stores, national chains, mass merchants, department stores, and strategic digital partners. Approximately 2,100 independently-operated partnership stores also carry VF products.

Geographically, VF derived 50 percent of fiscal 2026 revenues from the Americas, 35 percent from Europe, and 15 percent from Asia-Pacific. The company employed approximately 26,000 people at fiscal year-end 2026, with roughly 56 percent full-time and 51 percent located in the United States.

VF sources approximately 231 million units annually from approximately 216 independent contractor manufacturing facilities across approximately 24 countries, supported by regional sourcing hubs in Singapore, Panama, and Switzerland. The company operates 13 distribution centers globally and maintains three major regional distribution centers in Ontario, California; Almelo, the Netherlands; and Kunshan, China.

The company's transformation strategy focuses on strengthening its balance sheet through debt reduction, expanding margins via product innovation and operational efficiency, and returning to growth through enhanced consumer understanding and digital capabilities. VF's science-based sustainability targets include reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions 55 percent by fiscal 2030 and achieving 100 percent renewable energy across owned-and-operated facilities.
