What Vor Biopharma Inc. does

In the company’s own words

Vor Biopharma Inc. (NASDAQ: VBP) is a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel therapies for autoimmune diseases. The company's website is www.vorbiopharma.com.

In June 2025, Vor Biopharma in-licensed telitacicept from RemeGen Co., Ltd., securing exclusive development and commercialization rights outside of Greater China, which includes mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Telitacicept is a fusion protein constructed with the extracellular domain of the human TACI receptor and the Fc domain of human IgG. The drug targets two critical cell signaling molecules for B lymphocyte development: BLyS (also known as BAFF) and APRIL, enabling it to reduce B cell-mediated autoimmune responses implicated in several autoimmune diseases.

Telitacicept is already approved in China for systemic lupus erythematosus, rheumatoid arthritis, and generalized myasthenia gravis, with two pending biologics license applications in China for Sjögren's disease and IgA nephropathy. Vor Biopharma is advancing the drug through global Phase 3 clinical trials in generalized myasthenia gravis across the United States, Europe, South America, and Asia, with topline data anticipated in the first half of 2027. The company recently initiated a global Phase 3 trial in Sjögren's disease with first patient dosing in March 2026, also recruiting across multiple regions to support potential approvals in major markets.

The company received Orphan Drug Designation from both the FDA and European Medicines Agency for telitacicept in generalized myasthenia gravis treatment, along with Fast-Track Designation from the FDA for Sjögren's disease. Prior to acquiring telitacicept, Vor Biopharma focused on developing therapies for blood cancers through genetically engineered hematopoietic stem cells. In May 2025, the company announced the winddown of these prior clinical and manufacturing operations, subsequently divesting related intellectual property and license agreements in August and September 2025.

Vor Biopharma plans to build focused commercial capabilities across the United States, South America, Europe, Japan, and the Middle East and North Africa to support potential commercialization of telitacicept if approved. The company relies on third-party contract manufacturers for clinical and commercial manufacturing of required materials and finished products.
