What Vulcan Infrastructure & Power Inc. does
In the company’s own words
Greenidge Generation Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: GDHG) is a developer and operator of datacenters and powered assets designed to support energy-intensive computing workloads. The company builds, maintains, and operates datacenters focused on bitcoin mining alongside related power and electric infrastructure, while increasingly pursuing opportunities in artificial intelligence and high-performance computing applications. More information about the company is available at www.greenidge.com.
The company generates revenue from three primary sources: datacenter hosting services, cryptocurrency self-mining operations, and power and capacity sales. Greenidge operates a vertically integrated cryptocurrency datacenter and power generation facility in Torrey, New York, featuring a natural gas power generation plant with approximately 106 megawatts of nameplate capacity. The company also owns a 34-acre greenfield site in Columbus, Mississippi expected to provide 40 megawatts of datacenter capacity by the first quarter of 2027, and maintains 7.5 megawatts of datacenter capacity in North Dakota through a five-year lease arrangement.
The company's datacenter operations consist of approximately 23,900 miners with combined capacity of approximately 2.7 exahashes per second, comprising 17,000 miners associated with datacenter hosting and 6,900 miners for cryptocurrency mining. Under its primary hosting arrangement with NYDIG affiliates, Greenidge provides hosting, power, and technical support services under a five-year agreement that includes both hosting fees and gross profit-sharing arrangements.
Greenidge's power generation facility operates as a wholesale electricity supplier connected to the New York Independent System Operator, generating revenue through energy sales, capacity commitments, and ancillary services. The company benefits from behind-the-meter power supply, eliminating reliance on third-party power purchase agreements and providing operational flexibility to optimize between hosting, power, and cryptocurrency mining revenue based on prevailing market conditions.
As of December 31, 2025, Greenidge employed 32 people, all based in the United States. The company's controlling shareholder, Atlas Holdings LLC, operates 30 companies generating $26 billion in annual revenues and has experience owning and operating more than 2,000 megawatts of power generation assets. Greenidge's competitive advantages include vertical integration of power generation and datacenter operations, low-cost power access through natural gas pipeline connections, and operational expertise in energy-intensive computing infrastructure applicable to both cryptocurrency mining and emerging AI and HPC workloads.
