Wabash National Corporation (NYSE: WBX) operates as a leading provider of transportation, logistics, and infrastructure solutions, combining physical and digital technologies to optimize supply chains across first-to-final mile operations. The company designs, manufactures, and services a diverse range of products including dry freight and refrigerated trailers, platform trailers, tank trailers, truck bodies, structural composite panels, and specialty food-grade processing equipment. Wabash operates through two reportable segments: Transportation Solutions and Parts & Services. The Transportation Solutions segment comprises design and manufacturing operations for transportation-related equipment, including van trailers featuring proprietary DuraPlate® composite panel technology, platform trailers, tank trailers, and truck-mounted bodies. The Parts & Services segment encompasses aftermarket parts and services, truck body upfitting solutions, the Wabash Parts LLC joint venture distribution platform, Linq Venture Holdings LLC digital marketplace initiatives, Trailers as a Service offerings, and engineered products including stainless-steel storage tanks and processing equipment for dairy, food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical markets.
As of December 31, 2025, Wabash employed approximately 4,700 people across multiple manufacturing facilities and service locations throughout North America. The company maintains an extensive distribution network comprising 18 independent dealers with approximately 55 locations for van trailers, 32 dealers with approximately 70 locations for platform trailers, and 5 dealers with 14 locations for tank trailers. Additionally, the company operates more than 45 independent parts and service locations and serves more than 1,100 commercial partners for truck body distribution.
The company's customer base includes many of the nation's largest truckload carriers, leasing companies, private fleet operators, and package carriers. Major customers include J.B. Hunt Transport Inc., Werner Enterprises Inc., Schneider National Inc., and Penske Truck Leasing. The five largest customers collectively accounted for approximately 35 percent of aggregate net sales in 2025.
Wabash was founded in 1985 and has achieved diversification through strategic acquisitions, organic growth, and product innovation. The company maintains competitive advantages through long-term customer relationships, proprietary technology including DuraPlate® and EcoNex™ products, significant brand recognition, the Wabash Management System continuous improvement framework, and an extensive dealer and service network.
