What WEYCO GROUP INC does

In the company’s own words

Weyco Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: WEYS) designs, markets, and distributes quality footwear principally for men, along with offerings for women and children, under a portfolio of well-recognized brand names including Florsheim, Nunn Bush, Stacy Adams, and BOGS. The company maintains its website at www.weycogroup.com.

Founded in 1906 as Weyenberg Shoe Manufacturing Company and renamed Weyco Group, Inc. in 1990, the company operates through two primary reportable segments: North American Wholesale and North American Retail, along with other international operations. The Wholesale segment, representing 78 percent of total net sales, includes wholesale sales and worldwide licensing revenues. Products are marketed to more than 10,000 shoe, clothing, and department stores throughout the United States and Canada via traveling salespeople and independent sales representatives. The Retail segment comprises e-commerce businesses and four brick-and-mortar stores in the United States, accounting for 13 percent of net sales. Other operations, representing 9 percent of sales, consist of wholesale and retail businesses in Australia and South Africa.

Weyco's product portfolio spans mid-priced leather dress shoes, casual footwear composed of man-made materials and leather, and outdoor boots, shoes, and sandals available in a broad range of sizes and widths. The company sources finished shoes from independent foreign manufacturers, primarily located in China and India, with additional sourcing from Cambodia, Vietnam, and the Dominican Republic. Almost all foreign-sourced purchases are denominated in U.S. dollars.

As of December 31, 2025, Weyco employed 569 persons worldwide, of whom 408 were full-time employees. The company operates principal facilities in Glendale, Wisconsin, which houses a two-story office and distribution center, and Montreal, Canada, which contains a multistory office and distribution center. Additional facilities support operations in Australia and the United States retail locations.

Brand recognition, price, quality, and service represent the primary competitive factors in Weyco's industry. The company maintains important trademarks across its brand portfolio and continuously reviews and updates product designs through its dedicated design department to meet evolving consumer preferences and market demands.
