In the company’s own words
Whitehawk Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ: HWKD) is a clinical-stage oncology company focused on developing next-generation antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for the treatment of difficult-to-treat cancers. The company applies advanced drug delivery technologies and formulation expertise to create targeted cancer therapies designed to improve efficacy while reducing toxicity compared to existing treatments.
In December 2024, Whitehawk entered into a license agreement with WuXi Biologics and Hangzhou DAC Biotechnology to develop and commercialize a portfolio of three ADC therapies. These product candidates utilize the CPT113 linker-payload platform, which features a highly stable yet cleavable linker that delivers a Topoisomerase I inhibitor payload. The three lead programs target validated tumor antigens: HWK-007 targeting Protein Tyrosine Kinase 7 (PTK7) for solid tumors including non-small cell lung cancer and ovarian cancer; HWK-016 targeting membrane-bound Mucin 16 (MUC16) for gynecological cancers; and HWK-206, a biparatopic antibody targeting Seizure-related Protein 6 (SEZ6) for small cell lung cancer and neuroendocrine tumors. The company submitted investigational new drug applications for HWK-007 and HWK-016 in the fourth quarter of 2025, with both programs now in Phase 1 clinical trials. An IND submission for HWK-206 is anticipated in mid-2026.
Whitehawk maintains a virtual operating model utilizing outsourced clinical development and manufacturing partnerships. The company previously commercialized FYARRO (nab-sirolimus) for advanced malignant PEComa, generating $7.1 million in net product sales during 2025 before divesting the FYARRO business in March 2025 to focus resources on the ADC portfolio. The company's management team brings extensive experience in oncology drug discovery, development, and commercialization from leading pharmaceutical companies. Whitehawk is supported by top-tier life science investors and maintains operations with sufficient capital resources to fund planned operations into 2028.
