WW International, Inc. (Nasdaq: WW) operates as a global weight management and health and wellness company headquartered in New York, New York. The company's website is located at corporate.ww.com.
Founded in 1963 by Jean Nidetch, Weight Watchers has evolved into one of the world's most recognized brands in weight loss and weight management. The company operates a single reportable segment and generates revenue primarily through subscription-based offerings across two main business lines: Behavioral and Clinical.
The Behavioral business provides digital subscriptions through two membership tiers. The Core tier offers access to Weight Watchers' proprietary Points Program, personalized modes, AI-powered tools including an AI Body Scanner, a member social network called Connect, recipe libraries, and fitness videos. The Core+ tier adds unlimited access to coaching, in-person and virtual workshops, and specialized programs for menopause and GLP-1 medication users. As of the end of fiscal 2025, the company had approximately 2.6 million Behavioral subscribers.
The Clinical business, operating under the Med+ brand in the United States, provides subscriptions that combine all Behavioral offerings with access to board-certified doctors and clinicians trained in obesity medicine. Med+ members receive comprehensive medication management, including prescriptions for FDA-approved weight management medications including GLP-1 drugs, paired with behavioral support. The company had approximately 130.2 thousand Clinical subscribers at fiscal year-end 2025.
Weight Watchers also offers Weight Watchers for Business solutions tailored for employers, payers, and health plans, including enterprise versions of its GLP-1 Success Program and the Weight Watchers RxFlexFund.
The company operates with approximately 3,500 employees across nine countries, with a majority employed on a part-time basis. In certain international markets, coaches and guides operate as self-employed contractors. Weight Watchers maintains a robust intellectual property portfolio including numerous trademarks, patents, and proprietary rights, with over 180 peer-reviewed scientific publications supporting its programs' effectiveness. The company emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy on June 24, 2025, and adopted fresh start accounting as of that date.
