In the company’s own words
XTI Aerospace, Inc. (Nasdaq Capital Market: XTIA) operates as a provider of unmanned aerial systems solutions through two primary business divisions: a commercial drone solutions business and an advanced systems and defense division, with plans to develop a domestic manufacturing and technology division. The company website is www.xtiaerospace.com.
The commercial drone solutions business, conducted primarily through majority-owned subsidiary XTI Drones Holdings, LLC, which owns Drone Nerds, LLC and Anzu Robotics, LLC, constitutes substantially all of the company's revenues. Drone Nerds operates as an OEM-agnostic distributor offering hardware distribution, training and certification programs, repair and maintenance services, fleet management support, and compliance assistance to enterprise and government customers. The business operates through wholesale distribution, direct sales, and direct-to-consumer retail channels, including a retail showroom in South Florida and an e-commerce platform. Drone Nerds serves customers across multiple end markets including agriculture, construction, infrastructure inspection, mining, insurance, energy and utilities, and public safety. The company distributes UAS platforms, payloads, sensors, batteries, and accessories from third-party manufacturers.
The advanced systems and defense division focuses on design, development, and production of unmanned platforms for defense and commercial applications, drawing on engineering expertise developed through the company's prior aerospace program. This division is pursuing opportunities through internal development, strategic partnerships, and co-development arrangements, with emphasis on defense procurement programs and domestic unmanned systems initiatives aligned with U.S. national security priorities. The division has not yet generated revenues.
The domestic manufacturing and technology division is expected to develop U.S.-based production capabilities for unmanned systems and related technologies through manufacturing partnerships, joint ventures, and targeted investments in domestic production capacity.
XTI completed the acquisition of Drone Nerds in November 2025, which added 82 employees to the company's headcount. As of March 31, 2026, the company employed 105 full-time and part-time employees. The company previously operated the Inpixon real-time location systems business, which was divested in February 2026. XTI was formerly known as Inpixon and completed a business combination with XTI Aircraft Company in March 2024.
