In the company’s own words
Zeo Energy Corp. (Nasdaq: ZEO) is a vertically integrated residential solar energy company that designs, procures, installs, and maintains solar energy systems for homeowners across the United States. The company's website is www.zeo.energy.
Founded through the combination of Sunergy Solar LLC, established in 2005, and Sun First Energy LLC, established in 2019, Zeo operates as a comprehensive energy solutions provider. The company's primary business involves the sale and installation of residential solar energy systems, with the majority of its customer base concentrated in Florida, Texas, Arkansas, Missouri, Ohio, and Illinois. The company has expanded into California, Colorado, Minnesota, Utah, and Virginia, and began serving customers in Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and South Carolina following the acquisition of certain assets from Lumio HX, Inc.
Zeo's service offerings extend beyond solar installations to include energy efficiency products and services such as insulation, hybrid electric water heaters, swimming pool pumps, and battery-based energy storage systems. The company also operates roofing services through its subsidiary, Sunergy Roofing & Construction, Inc., primarily in Florida. As of December 31, 2025, approximately 74 percent of systems installed were leased by customers through third-party leasing companies, while the remainder were purchased directly or financed through third-party lenders.
The company employs approximately 190 installation, sales support, and administrative personnel and operates an internal direct sales force of approximately 260 seasonal sales agents, primarily during the spring and summer months. Zeo also works with approximately 10 active external sales dealers as of December 31, 2025. The company sources solar panels, inverters, racking systems, and related components from multiple suppliers, with approximately 46 percent of equipment purchased through Consolidated Electrical Distributors, Inc., operating as Greentech Renewables.
Zeo's business model emphasizes vertical integration and scalability, leveraging both internal sales capabilities and external dealer networks to reach customers. The company's strategy focuses on geographic expansion, capacity building through personnel and technology investments, and growth of its dealer sales channel.
