Fund profile
As filed in the prospectus · 2026 Q2
Vanguard FTSE Social Index Fund (the Fund) seeks to track the performance of a benchmark index that measures the investment return of large- and mid-capitalization stocks.
The fund tracks the FTSE US Choice Index, a market-capitalization-weighted index of large- and mid-cap stocks screened for environmental, social, and governance criteria by FTSE Russell. The index excludes companies involved in adult entertainment, alcohol, tobacco, cannabis, gambling, weapons, nuclear power, and fossil fuels, as well as those failing to meet specified labor, human rights, environmental, anti-corruption, and diversity standards. The fund invests substantially all its assets in the index constituents in the same proportions as the index. Because the fund may become concentrated in particular issuers or industries if the index does, performance may diverge from a fully diversified portfolio.
