State Street Consumer Discretionary Select Sector SPDR ETF (the Fund) seeks to provide investment results that, before expenses, correspond generally to the price and yield performance of publicly traded equity securities of companies in the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector Index (the Index).
The fund employs a replication strategy, holding substantially all securities in the Consumer Discretionary Select Sector Index in approximately the same proportions, tracking companies classified as consumer discretionary by the Global Industry Classification Standard across retail, restaurants, leisure, apparel, durables, automobiles, and related industries. The fund maintains at least 95% of assets in index securities and may hold cash or money market instruments for liquidity.
