Fund profile

As filed in the prospectus · 2026 Q2

Vanguard Mega Cap ETF, an exchange-traded share class of Vanguard Mega Cap Index Fund (the Fund), seeks to track the performance of a benchmark index that measures the investment return of large-capitalization stocks in the United States.

Strategy · summarised

The fund tracks the CRSP US Mega Cap Index, which measures the top 70% of investable U.S. equity market capitalization, by holding all or substantially all of the index's stocks in the same weights. Because the fund replicates the index rather than sampling it, its returns will closely track the index's performance. The fund may become concentrated in particular issuers or industries if the index itself becomes concentrated due to market movements or index rebalancing.

The outer band is exposure held short — written against the portfolio rather than part of it, which is why it sits outside the ring and why the two are never netted into one figure.

Derivatives are shown at market value, not notional exposure.
