Fund profile
As filed in the prospectus · 2026 Q1
Fidelity Equity Dividend Income Fund seeks a yield from dividend and interest income which exceeds the composite dividend yield on securities comprising the S&P 500 Index. In addition, consistent with the primary objective of obtaining dividend and interest income, the fund will consider the potential for achieving capital appreciation.
The fund invests at least 80% of assets in dividend-paying equity securities, selecting holdings through fundamental analysis of financial condition, industry position, and market conditions, with the goal of exceeding the S&P 500's dividend yield. The fund may also hold non-dividend-paying equities and below-investment-grade debt securities. Because security selection depends on the manager's assessment of which issuers will pay or maintain dividends, fund returns will diverge from any benchmark index.

The outer band is exposure held short — written against the portfolio rather than part of it, which is why it sits outside the ring and why the two are never netted into one figure.
Derivatives are shown at market value, not notional exposure.

Share of the fund’s equity (by value) in companies whose trailing five-year revenue — or net-income — growth ranks in the top 25% of U.S. public companies.
