The Funds investment objective is to seek capital appreciation.
The fund invests at least 80% of assets in common stocks of companies engaged in mining, processing, or dealing in gold, metals, and minerals, along with physical precious metals and related ETFs, selecting securities based on fundamental analysis of valuation, business trends, and management quality. Up to 25% of assets may be held through a wholly-owned subsidiary that invests in gold bullion, precious metals, commodity-linked derivatives, and fixed-income securities to provide commodities exposure within tax constraints. The fund concentrates without limit in the metals, mining, and minerals industries and may invest substantially in foreign and emerging-market companies. Because the fund's returns depend on the portfolio managers' stock-picking decisions and sector concentration, performance will diverge from broad market returns.
