Fund profile

As filed in the prospectus · 2026 Q2

Vanguard Health Care Index Fund (the Fund) seeks to track the performance of a benchmark index that measures the investment return of health care stocks.

Strategy · summarised

The fund tracks the MSCI US Investable Market Index (IMI)/Health Care 25/50 by holding all or substantially all of the stocks in the index in the same proportions, gaining exposure to large, mid-size, and small U.S. health care companies including providers, equipment manufacturers, and pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms. Because the fund attempts to replicate the index rather than sample it, tracking error may arise from the fund's holdings diverging from index weightings.

The outer band is exposure held short — written against the portfolio rather than part of it, which is why it sits outside the ring and why the two are never netted into one figure.

Derivatives are shown at market value, not notional exposure.

These classes hold the same portfolio, so the 0.04pp spread over 5 years is the cost difference between them — roughly 0.01pp a year — not a difference in what they own.

Cumulative return· Jun 2023 – Apr 2026

May 2026 has been filed since the trailing figures were struck, so it is not in the table above or the curve — every figure here shares one cut-off, which is what makes them comparable with other funds.
