The business

Natera, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTRA) is a diagnostics company headquartered in Austin, Texas, with laboratory facilities in Austin, San Carlos, California, and Boulder, Colorado. The company applies proprietary cell-free DNA technology and bioinformatics algorithms to develop and commercialize genetic tests across three primary healthcare areas: oncology, women's health, and organ health.

In oncology, Natera offers Signatera, a personalized circulating tumor DNA test for molecular residual disease assessment and treatment response monitoring in cancer patients. The company also provides Latitude, a tissue-independent MRD test for colorectal cancer; Altera, a comprehensive genomic profiling test for therapy selection; and Empower, a hereditary cancer screening test. The oncology segment addresses an estimated $21 billion addressable market for solid tumor recurrence monitoring and $3 billion for blood cancers.

The women's health division centers on Panorama, a non-invasive prenatal test screening for chromosomal abnormalities and microdeletions, which has established Natera as the market leader by volume in the United States. Complementing Panorama is Horizon, a carrier screening test for up to 835 inherited conditions. The company also offers Fetal Focus, a single-gene NIPT; Vistara, screening for 25 single-gene conditions; and Anora, a products-of-conception test for miscarriage analysis.

In organ health, Prospera assesses active rejection in kidney, heart, and lung transplant recipients by measuring donor-derived cell-free DNA, addressing an estimated $3.8 billion addressable market. Renasight is a kidney gene panel test identifying genetic causes of chronic kidney disease.

Natera's Constellation platform forms the core of its cloud-based distribution model, enabling laboratories worldwide to run molecular workflows and access bioinformatics algorithms through cloud infrastructure. The company maintains a global network of over 100 laboratory and distribution partners across more than 80 countries while operating direct sales forces in the United States.

The company processed approximately 3.5 million tests in 2025, generating revenues of $2.3 billion. Natera maintains a strong intellectual property portfolio with over 650 issued or pending patents and has published over 350 peer-reviewed studies supporting its test platforms.
