FTAI Aviation Ltd.
The business
FTAI Aviation Ltd. (Nasdaq: FTAI) operates as a leading independent engine maintenance platform focused on the commercial aviation sector. The company's website is www.ftaiaviation.com. As of December 31, 2025, FTAI Aviation maintains total consolidated assets of $4.4 billion and total equity of $334.2 million, with 985 full-time employees and independent contractors.
The company operates through two primary reportable segments: Aerospace Products and Aviation Leasing. The Aerospace Products segment develops, manufactures, repairs and refurbishes aircraft engines and aftermarket components, primarily for CFM56-5B, CFM56-7B and V2500 commercial aircraft engines that power Boeing 737NG and Airbus A320ceo aircraft. This segment operates maintenance facilities in the United States, Canada and Europe and conducts business through a proprietary Maintenance, Repair and Exchange model. The company also holds a 25 percent interest in the Advanced Engine Repair Joint Venture and announced the launch of FTAI Power in December 2025, a platform focused on converting CFM56 engines to power turbines.
The Aviation Leasing segment owns and manages a portfolio of 290 aviation assets consisting of 47 commercial aircraft and 243 engines as of year-end 2025. Approximately 77 percent of the company's aviation equipment was utilized during the fourth quarter of 2025. Aircraft currently on lease have a weighted average remaining lease term of 44 months, while engines on lease average 38 months remaining.
In December 2024, FTAI Aviation launched its Strategic Capital Initiative, an asset management business that manages third-party capital to invest in on-lease aircraft and engines. The first partnership under this initiative, the 2025 Partnership, completed its fundraise in October 2025 with $2.0 billion in equity commitments and focuses on acquiring 737NG and A320ceo aircraft. The company provides aircraft management services to the partnership and made a minority capital commitment. This initiative allows FTAI Aviation to maintain an asset-light business model while partnerships acquire narrowbody aircraft at scale.
In May 2024, the company internalized its management function, terminating its previous management agreement and eliminating ongoing management fees and incentive distributions. The company maintains approximately 71 percent of its 494 full-time Canadian employees under collective bargaining agreements.
