The company's financial services platform serves small-cap and middle-market companies with customized end-to-end solutions throughout the enterprise lifecycle. Its Capital Markets segment offers investment banking, institutional brokerage, equity research, securities lending, and direct lending services to publicly traded and privately held companies, institutional investors, and financial sponsors. The Wealth Management segment provides retail brokerage, investment management, insurance, accounting, and tax preparation services to individuals, families, small businesses, and institutional clients, managing approximately thirteen billion dollars in assets under management as of December 31, 2025.
BRC's telecommunications businesses include Lingo, a cloud-based unified communications provider serving enterprise and small-to-medium businesses; magicJack, a VoIP cloud-based communications service provider operating in the United States and Canada; Marconi Wireless, a mobile virtual network operator providing services under the Credo Mobile brand; and United Online, an internet access provider offering dial-up and DSL services under the NetZero and Juno brands. The Consumer Products segment comprises Targus, a multinational company designing and manufacturing consumer and enterprise productivity products including laptop cases, backpacks, and computer accessories, with distribution across more than one hundred countries.
The company employs approximately thirteen hundred eighty active employees complemented by more than one hundred seventy affiliated professionals operating across diverse business verticals. BRC maintains offices throughout the United States, including in New York, Chicago, Boston, Dallas, and San Francisco, along with an office in India. Founded in 1997, the company became publicly listed through a strategic combination with Great American Group in 2014. The company has pursued a strategy of reducing indebtedness from one point eight billion dollars in December 2024 to one point four billion dollars in December 2025 through operating cash flow and strategic asset dispositions.
