Fidelity Bank, originally chartered in 1908 as The Fidelity Homestead Association, operates as a Louisiana state-chartered stock savings bank providing comprehensive retail and commercial banking services throughout central and southern Louisiana. The bank maintains 18 full-service branches, including its main office in New Orleans, along with two drive-up branches and 14 stand-alone ATMs serving the New Orleans-Metairie-Hammond, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette metropolitan statistical areas.
The bank's primary business consists of accepting deposits from the general public and deploying those funds into a diversified loan portfolio. As of December 31, 2025, the loan portfolio totaled approximately $745 million and comprised one- to four-family residential mortgages (31.0%), commercial real estate loans (33.4%), home equity loans and lines of credit (15.1%), commercial loans (12.4%), residential construction loans (5.1%), and other consumer loans (3.1%). The bank originates residential mortgage loans through its NOLA Lending Group division, which was sold in March 2026. The investment securities portfolio totaled $326.3 million at year-end 2025, consisting primarily of U.S. government-sponsored enterprise securities and corporate bonds.
Deposits represent the primary funding source, totaling $841.4 million at December 31, 2025, distributed across negotiable order of withdrawal accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, and certificates of deposit. The bank emphasizes personalized customer service and long-standing community relationships to attract and retain deposits across its market areas, which encompass urban, suburban, and rural areas with diverse economic drivers including oil refining, healthcare, retail trade, and tourism.
The bank faces competition from large regional and national banks, community financial institutions, credit unions, and fintech companies. Management focuses on expanding higher-yielding commercial real estate lending while maintaining disciplined underwriting standards and comprehensive risk management practices aligned with secondary market guidelines.
