Genesco Inc. (NYSE: GCO) operates as a leading retailer and wholesaler of branded footwear, apparel and accessories with fiscal 2026 net sales of $2.4 billion. The company maintains its website at www.genesco.com and operates approximately 1,236 retail stores globally as of January 31, 2026, with approximately 16,000 employees distributed across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.

The company operates through four reportable business segments. The Journeys Group, representing 61% of net sales, comprises the Journeys, Journeys Kidz and Little Burgundy retail footwear chains targeting youth and young adult consumers aged 13 to 34. The Schuh Group, accounting for 21% of net sales, operates 118 stores in the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland targeting teenagers and young adults aged 16 to 24. The Johnston & Murphy Group contributes 13% of net sales through 153 retail locations and wholesale operations selling men's and women's footwear, apparel and accessories primarily to consumers aged 25 to 55. The Genesco Brands Group represents 5% of net sales and designs and sources licensed footwear under the Wrangler, Dockers, Levi's and STARTER brand names for wholesale distribution.

Genesco owns the Johnston & Murphy brand outright and operates licensed footwear businesses under multi-year agreements. The company recently signed a licensing agreement with Kontoor Brands to design and distribute Wrangler footwear beginning Fall 2026 and secured a new Dockers license with Authentic Brands Group. The company sources footwear and accessories from manufacturers located in Bangladesh, Brazil, Cambodia, China, India, Italy, Pakistan, Peru, Portugal, Sri Lanka, Turkey and Vietnam.

The company's strategy emphasizes a footwear-first approach centered on four growth drivers: creating and curating winning product, elevating distinctive retail and consumer brands, delivering exceptional consumer experiences and building amazing teams. Genesco maintains omni-channel capabilities across physical retail and e-commerce platforms, with significant wholesale operations serving over 900 retail accounts in the United States.
