Kearny Bank operates as a community-focused financial institution primarily engaged in attracting deposits from the general public and originating or purchasing loans for its portfolio and secondary market sales. The bank's loan portfolio is predominantly comprised of commercial real estate loans, including multi-family mortgage loans representing 42.5% of the portfolio and nonresidential mortgage loans representing 17.3%, along with one- to four-family residential mortgage loans at 30.4%. The bank also originates commercial and industrial loans, construction loans, home equity loans, and other consumer loans.
