The business

Range Resources Corporation (NYSE: RRC) is an independent oil and gas producer headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, engaged in the exploration, development and acquisition of natural gas, natural gas liquids (NGLs) and oil properties. The company operates primarily in the Appalachian region of the United States, with substantially all reserves and production concentrated in the Marcellus Shale formation in Pennsylvania. Range Resources maintains its corporate website at www.rangeresources.com.

As of December 31, 2025, the company operated 1,579 gross producing wells (1,499 net), generating average daily production of 2.24 billion cubic feet equivalent per day. The company's proved reserve base totaled 18.1 trillion cubic feet equivalent, with composition of 65 percent natural gas, 34 percent NGLs and 1 percent oil. Approximately 71 percent of proved reserves were classified as proved developed reserves. The company maintains an estimated 27 million lateral feet of drilling inventory remaining in the Marcellus Shale, representing multi-year development opportunities.

Range Resources' business strategy centers on returns-focused development of its natural gas, NGLs and oil properties through internally generated drilling projects occasionally coupled with complementary acquisitions and dispositions. The company emphasizes cost efficiency, operational control and maintaining a long-life reserve base with low decline rates. Range operates almost all of its total net production, providing extensive knowledge of geologic and operating conditions in its core operating area.

The company markets its natural gas, NGLs and oil production to utilities, marketing companies, industrial users, petrochemical end users, refiners and other customers across domestic and international markets. Range holds firm transportation contracts on multiple pipelines enabling distribution to the Midwest, Gulf Coast, Southeast, Northeast and international markets. The company employs 564 full-time employees as of January 1, 2026, none of whom are covered by collective bargaining arrangements.

Range Resources maintains a disciplined capital allocation approach, with 2026 capital expenditure guidance of $650 million to $700 million directed toward drilling costs, acreage acquisition and infrastructure investments. The company utilizes commodity derivative contracts to mitigate price risk on a portion of forecasted production and emphasizes maintaining operational and financial flexibility across varying commodity price environments.
