In the company’s own words
Solstice Advanced Materials Inc. (NASDAQ: SOLS) is a global advanced materials company that spun off from Honeywell International Inc. on October 30, 2025, and began trading as an independent public company. The company operates through two reportable segments: Refrigerants & Applied Solutions (RAS) and Electronic & Specialty Materials (ESM).
The RAS segment manufactures low global warming potential refrigerants, blowing agents, solvents, and aerosol materials, along with conversion services for the nuclear energy sector. This segment serves HVAC/R, automotive, nuclear energy, building and appliance insulation, and healthcare end markets under brands including Solstice, Genetron, and Aclar. The ESM segment provides electronic materials, high-strength fibers, and laboratory life science chemicals, serving semiconductor, defense, pharmaceutical, and construction markets through brands such as Spectra, Fluka, and Hydranal.
As of December 31, 2025, Solstice operated 20 manufacturing sites, four standalone research and development centers, and employed approximately 4,100 people across approximately 120 countries and territories. The company serves over 3,000 customers globally, with no single customer accounting for more than 10 percent of net sales and the top 10 customers representing less than 20 percent of revenue.
The company's competitive strengths include its position as a global leader in innovative advanced materials with over 5,700 issued patents and pending applications, deep customer relationships supported by manufacturing proximity to customers, and exposure to long-term secular growth trends including government-regulated sustainability targets, semiconductor production, healthcare and life sciences, defense and safety, and advanced electrification. Solstice maintains a strong intellectual property portfolio and operates an established operating model focused on five key organizational pillars: innovation and commercialization, commercial excellence and growth, capital deployment and optimization, supply chain and logistics, and manufacturing excellence.
The company's business model emphasizes high-value-added specialty solutions, customer-specific manufacturing capabilities, and disciplined capital allocation. New products launched within the past five years contributed 50 percent of sales in 2025, reflecting the company's commitment to innovation and customer partnership in developing differentiated solutions.
