What T1 Energy Inc. does

In the company’s own words

T1 Energy Inc. (NYSE: TE) is an energy solutions provider building an integrated United States solar supply chain for photovoltaic solar modules. The company manufactures and sells advanced solar modules and is constructing a solar cell manufacturing facility in Texas to establish vertical integration across the domestic solar value chain.

The company operates G1_Dallas, a solar module manufacturing facility in Wilmer, Texas, with a total annual nameplate production capacity of five gigawatts. The facility features seven assembly lines producing three types of photovoltaic solar modules employing Passivated Emitter and Rear Contact and Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact technologies for utility-scale, commercial and industrial, and residential applications. G1_Dallas achieved full production in the fourth quarter of 2025 and is among the most highly automated solar module manufacturing facilities globally.

T1 Energy is constructing G2_Austin, a solar cell manufacturing facility in Milam County, Texas, with the first 2.1-gigawatt phase expected to begin production in the fourth quarter of 2026. This facility will produce high-efficiency solar cells for use in modules manufactured at G1_Dallas, increasing domestic content and enabling customers to access additional federal tax incentives.

The company focuses exclusively on the United States solar market, which it believes exhibits strong industry fundamentals driven by hyperscale data center deployment, supportive public policy, and robust customer demand for domestically manufactured solar equipment. T1 Energy sells primarily to utility-scale developers and also serves commercial, industrial, and residential end users.

The company's strategy emphasizes establishing a vertically integrated American solar supply chain through partnerships with domestic suppliers including Corning, Hemlock Semiconductor, Nextpower, and Treaty Oak. T1 Energy acquired its G1_Dallas facility through the December 2024 acquisition of Trina Solar U.S. Holding Inc. and maintains technology licensing and operational support agreements with Trina Solar entities.

As of December 31, 2025, T1 Energy employed 562 full-time employees in the United States, supplemented by consultants, advisors, and third-party staffing. The company's website is located at https://ir.t1energy.com/.
