The State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (the Fund) seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index derived from the semiconductor segment of a U.S. total market composite index.
The fund tracks the S&P Semiconductor Select Industry Index using a sampling strategy, holding a subset or substantially all of the index's semiconductor stocks in approximately the same proportions. Because the fund samples rather than holds all index constituents, its returns may diverge from the index.
