Fund profile
As filed in the prospectus · 2026 Q2
Fidelity Equity-Income Fund seeks reasonable income. In pursuing this objective, the fund will also consider the potential for capital appreciation. The fund seeks a yield for its shareholders that exceeds the yield on the securities comprising the S&P 500 Index.
The fund invests at least 80% of assets in income-producing equity securities—primarily large-cap value stocks selected through fundamental analysis for their dividends or expected near-term interest payments—and may hold up to 20% in other equities and debt securities including high-yield bonds. The fund seeks to deliver a yield exceeding the S&P 500 Index and may use covered call options to manage assets. Because security selection depends on the manager's assessment of financial condition and industry position, fund returns will diverge from any benchmark.
