Fund profile

As filed in the prospectus · 2026 Q2

The First Trust Morningstar Dividend Leaders Index Fund (the Fund ) seeks investment results that correspond generally to the price and yield (before the Funds fees and expenses) of an equity index called the Morningstar Dividend Leaders Index SM (the Index ).

Strategy · summarised

The fund tracks the Morningstar Dividend Leaders Index, which selects the 100 highest-yielding stocks from a broad U.S. equity universe that meet screens for consistent dividend payments, positive dividend growth over five years, and dividend coverage ratios above 1, then weights them by indicated dividend yield subject to a 10% single-issuer cap and a 50% cap on holdings above 5%. Because the Index is concentrated in particular sectors—notably energy as of the filing date—the fund's returns will reflect that concentration and may shift materially as the Index composition changes.
