The iShares MSCI Global Metals & Mining Producers ETF (the Fund ) seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of global equities of companies primarily engaged in mining, extraction or production of diversified metals, excluding gold and silver.
The fund tracks the MSCI ACWI Select Metals & Mining Producers ex Gold and Silver Investable Market Index using representative sampling, holding a sample of securities with similar investment characteristics to the index rather than all constituents. Because the fund may not hold all index components, its returns may diverge from the index. The fund invests at least 40% of assets outside the U.S. and concentrates in the materials sector to the extent the index does.
