Fund profile
As filed in the prospectus · 2026 Q2
Vanguard Energy Opportunities Fund (the Fund) seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation.
The fund employs active management to select common stocks of companies principally engaged in energy industry activities, including exploration, production, transmission, refining, and related services across traditional sources such as oil, gas, coal, and electricity, as well as newer sources including nuclear, geothermal, and solar power; it may also invest in foreign stocks. The fund is nondiversified and concentrates more than 25% of its assets in energy industry issuers, which means it may invest a greater percentage in particular issuers than diversified funds. Because the fund's returns depend on the manager's security selections, performance will diverge from any benchmark.
