VIP Technology Portfolio seeks capital appreciation.

Strategy · summarised

The fund invests primarily in common stocks of companies principally engaged in technology businesses—including semiconductor manufacturers, software developers, hardware makers, and information technology service providers—selected through fundamental analysis of financial condition, industry position, and market conditions. The fund normally maintains at least 80% of assets in technology securities and may invest in both domestic and foreign issuers. Because fund performance depends on the selection of individual securities through fundamental analysis, results will diverge from any broad market benchmark.
