Fund profile
As filed in the prospectus · 2025 Q4
The State Street SPDR S&P Biotech ETF (the Fund) seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of an index derived from the biotechnology segment of a U.S. total market composite index.
The fund tracks the S&P Biotechnology Select Industry Index, which comprises U.S.-listed biotech companies with at least $500 million in float-adjusted market capitalization and sufficient trading liquidity, rebalanced quarterly and modified to equal weight. The fund invests substantially all its assets in Index constituents, though it may hold a subset of securities to replicate Index risk and return characteristics. Because the fund employs a sampling strategy rather than holding all Index constituents, its returns may diverge from the Index.
