Fund profile
As filed in the prospectus · 2025 Q3
The investment objective of the BlackRock Global Allocation Fund, Inc. (BlackRock Global Allocation Fund or the Fund) is to provide high total investment return through a fully managed investment policy utilizing United States and foreign equity securities, debt and money market securities, the combination of which will be varied from time to time both with respect to types of securities and markets in response to changing market and economic trends. Total return means the combination of capital growth and investment income.
The fund pursues high total return by actively allocating across global equity, debt, and money market securities, emphasizing undervalued equities and varying the mix in response to economic conditions. It maintains substantial foreign exposure (at least 30–40% of assets depending on market conditions) across multiple countries and actively manages currency risk through derivatives. The fund obtains commodity exposure through a wholly-owned Cayman Islands subsidiary, which invests in commodity-related instruments without limitation, while the fund itself may allocate up to 25% of assets to that subsidiary. Because manager decisions on security selection, asset allocation, and market emphasis drive returns, performance depends on the accuracy of those judgments.

Return profile
Total return as filed — price change plus distributions reinvested · trailing figures to Apr 2026
This fund changed legal form during the period shown. The history above is continuous — it spans both eras, and the change is not a gap in reporting.
Debt profile
What this fund holds — value-weighted across its bond and securitized long positions · as of 2026-04-30
Share of the fund's debt by how its coupon behaves — the fact that decides whether a rate move reaches this portfolio at all.
| Fixed rate | 60.3% |
| Floating rate | 38.5% |
| Zero-coupon or unclassified | 1.2% |
Share of the fund's debt value in each maturity band, shortest first.
| <1y | 6.2% |
| 1-3y | 15.6% |
| 3-5y | 27.4% |
| 5-10y | 25.9% |
| 10y+ | 24.9% |
These three overlap — one holding can be in arrears and paying in kind at once — so they are shown separately and never summed.
Risk profile
Interest-rate and credit-spread sensitivity, both in years · as of 2026Q2
More of this fund’s sensitivity sits in credit spreads than in interest rates — a rate rally that comes with a credit selloff works against it.
Where the loss would come from. The two shocks are the same size, so this is the balance of the fund's two sensitivities rather than a bet on one moving more.
| Credit spreads | 59% |
| Interest rates | 41% |
Filers report the impact of a 0.01% move only, so the total is our own scaling of that one number and overstates the loss on most bonds — read it as approximate, never as precise. The two sensitivities overlap rather than add up: they measure the same positions against different shocks, which is why the durations above are shown side by side and never summed.
Share of the fund's spread duration carried by each credit tier.
| High yield | +2.09 yr |
| Investment grade | +0.31 yr |
Share of duration at each point, shortest first. This filer signs its rate and credit disclosures differently; the direction shown follows its interest-rate filing, and a negative reading is the least-supported figure here.
| 1 yr | 0.62 yr | 37% |
| 5 yr | 0.74 yr | 44% |
| 10 yr | 0.12 yr | 7% |
| 30 yr | 0.20 yr | 12% |
3 mo is NEGATIVE (-0.03 yr) — a deliberate hedge at that point on the curve, so it is not part of the band above.
| 3 mo | 0.30 yr | 12% |
| 1 yr | 0.34 yr | 13% |
| 5 yr | 1.50 yr | 59% |
| 10 yr | 0.42 yr | 16% |
30 yr is NEGATIVE (-0.16 yr) — a deliberate hedge at that point on the curve, so it is not part of the band above.
The two bands measure the same positions against different shocks and do not add — a Treasury carries rate duration and no spread duration, a floating-rate credit the reverse. Rate tenors are also summed across every currency the fund discloses.

Dollar change per 1bp of spread movement, as filed and sign-anchored. A blank cell was not filed; a zero was.
Duration contribution in years, summing to the fund's 1.64 yr.
This is where the fund's rate exposure sits, not its currency risk — most international bond funds hedge the currency back to dollars, and the size of those hedges is not in the filing. Tenors are also summed across curves, so a 5-year JPY point and a 5-year USD point are added together.
