The iShares MSCI USA Min Vol Factor ETF (the Fund ) seeks to track the investment results of an index composed of U.S. equities that, in the aggregate, have lower volatility characteristics relative to the broader U.S. equity market.
The fund tracks the MSCI USA Minimum Volatility Index using representative sampling, holding a sample of large- and mid-cap U.S. equities selected and weighted to exhibit the lowest absolute volatility while applying constraints on turnover, sector concentration, and liquidity. Because the fund may not hold all index constituents, its returns may diverge from the index.
