What this fund is
Objective, as filed

The Fund seeks to provide investment results that correspond to the total return performance of publicly traded common stocks in the aggregate as represented by the S&P 500 Index.

Strategy, summarised

The fund is passively managed to replicate the S&P 500 Index by holding equity securities of companies in the Index in weightings that approximate the Index's composition, and may use Index futures contracts to gain exposure or reduce it. BlackRock Investment Management, LLC makes day-to-day decisions to buy and sell securities in response to Index changes. Because the fund is subject to fees and transaction expenses while the Index is not, the fund's returns are likely to trail the Index.
